Magnificent ceramic objects in a so-called bamboo optic by the multi-talented artist Bruno Gambone from 1980s. Three charming vases that vary in height and width as a set. The lower part is in a light beige in contrast to the upper part in black. The special, cheeky detail is the turquoise border at the bottom. Artist's signature on the bottom. Gambone began experimenting with canvas and fabrics in the 1950s and developed his signature style that reminds of Lucio Fontana. In the early 1960s he set up in New York where he frequented the likes of Rauschenberg, Nevelson, Stella, Lichtenstein and Warhol. As well as painting and sculpture, he also worked in theatre and cinema, turning to ceramics and design later in his life.
