The unusual artwork lives through the combination of its unusual shape and the colors chosen for it. Designed by Beate Kuhn. The German ceramist and ceramic sculptor became known for her distinctive style since the 50s. She designed asymmetrical vases, among others, for the company Rosenthal AG. She also used her vessels as painting grounds and created abstracting objects. The form was mostly composed of individual parts and are rather to be considered as space sculptures. Her work ranges from small vases to monumental fountains and wall-sized reliefs.
