Arne Jacobsen

This lamp is a original and exceptional piece - an early 1929 example of Arne Jacobsens designs. The floor lamp is adjustable in height as well as at the shade, which definitely gives a warm and pleasant light. The stem comes in brass with a characteristic patina. Manufactured by Louis Poulsen. Arne Jacobsen was very successful inside furniture designs particularly for Fritz Hansen. Alongside this, Jacobsen also was popular in architecture such as the Århus city hall which he build together with Erik Møller. This object clearly show the formative influence of Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and the Bauhaus design idea.
