Scandinavian Modern

Our new catalog SCANDINAVIAN MODERN shows you the independent character and the versatility of northern European countries. The talent with which Hans Wegner expressed himself in wood is singular. Poul Henningsen aspired to timelessness and design couple Fabricius / Kastholm captured the heart beat of international tendencies. All of them, however, abided by the rules of Functionalism - an enormous wealth of ideas and visual sense of form that crossed borders and created groundbreaking poetry, which expanded outside of north european countries in the 1950s as a new style; a new variation of modernism. On the topic SCANDINAVIAN MODERN, we present our selection of exclusive objects.

Brazilian Modern

With our new catalog, we will present an extract of our unique collection of BRAZILIAN MODERN with famous designers such as Joaquim Tenreiro, Sérgio Rodrigues and Jorge Zalszupin. We are honored to promote the knowledge and culture of the rich heritage of Brazil in the 20th century and the Brazilian experience in the middle century. The Brazilian furniture design of the 20th century is still the most undiscovered and largely unknown in terms of history and tradition of modernity. The character of the Brazilian design reflects the culture through imagination, grace and simplicity.

Prouve House 6x6

With our new catalog we would like to give our special honour to famous Jean Prouvé and his 6x6 DEMOUNTABLE HOUSE. As artist blacksmith, architect and designer Jean Prouvé became one of the most distinguished designing engineers of the 20th century. In many of his works Jean Prouvé managed to combine his standards of functionality, material accuracy and economy with the complex demands of serial production. The demountable houses "6x6" (1944-45) reacted to the urgent need for post-war reconstruction and provided a solution to the housing crisis for the homeless people after the Second World War. A novelty in architecture, the components of the houses could be brought directly to destroyed places and assembled in a single day. These houses represent the height of Prouvé’s rationalist and functionalist ideals.
