Early example of LCM Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames. This 1951 LCM has its original red aniline dye finish, chrome finish legs, and domes of silence glides. Manufactured by Evans. Ray Eames and her husband Charles significantly have contributed to the development of the US post-war design. In 1940 together with colleague and friend Eero Saarinen they win the MoMA Organic Design in Home Furnishings competition. As with Saarinen, the close and interchanging lifelong relationship between fellow industrial designer George Nelson and Charles Eames is visible in their work.
